why learn tae kwon do from walsh martial arts australia?

Learning Tae Kwon Do from a WMAA school is the best way of ensuring that you learn a safe, exciting and complete martial arts program from a team of fully qualified, male and female martial arts professionals.

There are four essential differences between WMAA schools and other Tae Kwon Do schools:

  1. 1.Specialist teaching school: WMAA schools are specialist teaching schools lead by one of Australia’s most senior martial arts instructors, Grandmaster Terence Walsh, 8th Dan Black Belt (Korea). Walsh Martial Arts Australia is widely regarded as the most respected Tae Kwon Do teaching school in Australia.

  2. 2.Custodians of the traditional martial art: WMAA schools teach Tae Kwon Do as a traditional, self-defence oriented martial art. Every WMAA student is systematically trained in all aspects of Tae Kwon Do, including blocks, strikes, kicks, poomsae (traditional forms), defence against single and multiple attackers, defence against common weapons, manipulation of joints, vital points and pressure points, and oriental philosophy.  We do not teach the commercialised sport version of Tae Kwon Do.

  3. 3.Advanced training methods: Walsh Martial Arts Australia prides itself on using advanced training methods that incorporate the latest developments in sports medicine, exercise science and psychology to improve our students' rates of learning, fitness and preserve their safety at all times.

  4. 4.Officially approved: Walsh Martial Arts Australia is officially approved by the World Kido Federation to teach the traditional Korean martial arts in Australia.

A message from grandmaster walsh

"Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido are powerful self-defence arts with techniques and philosophy that began development in Korea more than 2000 years ago. At Walsh Martial Arts Australia, we will teach you the highly effective self-defence techniques of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido along with the skills necessary to avoid violence wherever possible.

After one month in the unique program, you'll feel stronger and more flexible; find it easier to concentrate during work or study; and have higher energy levels with lower stress."
